Long before automated trucks, GPS routing, and modern equipment, a hardworking local man named Bernard Fulkroad, Sr., (aka "Huntz"), was making his rounds through the streets and back roads of the community. In the 1930s, he founded Millersburg Disposal, building the company the old-fashioned way—through hard work, dependable service, and a handshake that meant something. Customers knew if Bernard said he'd be there, he'd be there.

As the years rolled on, so did the family tradition. In the 1960s, "Huntz" handed the keys to his son, James Fulkroad, Sr., (aka "Big Jim"), who proudly continued the business as James Fulkroad Disposal. Whether navigating narrow alleys, country roads, or Pennsylvania winters, "Big Jim" kept the trucks moving and the customers smiling. His dedication helped the company grow while maintaining the hometown service people had come to expect.

In 1991, the third generation climbed into the driver's seat when James Fulkroad, Jr., (aka "Jimmy"), took over operations. Under his leadership, James Fulkroad, Jr. Disposal embraced newer equipment and changing industry standards while staying true to the values that had guided the company since day one: honesty, reliability, and treating customers like family.

Today, the tradition continues with the fourth generation. Wes Fulkroad works alongside his father, learning every aspect of the business—from running routes and maintaining equipment to building relationships with customers. After all, when you've spent nearly a century serving the same communities, you learn that waste removal is about more than picking up trash—it's about taking pride in the place you call home.

Nearly 100 years, four generations, countless miles of road, and thousands of satisfied customers later, the Fulkroad family is still doing what they've always done: showing up, working hard, and serving their neighbors. From Millersburg Disposal, to James Fulkroad Disposal, to James Fulkroad, Jr. Disposal, the name may have changed over the years, but the commitment to the community never has.

Four generations. One family. Nearly a century of service. That's the Fulkroad legacy.
